I have a 16mm project I’m working on and I need some advice. I have a scene where a room catches on fire and burns, I have a scale model for the exterior shot I think I have that all planned out. The problem I have is the interior shots and how to film, light and pull of believable effects. Does anyone have experience or ideas about how to pull this off well? Any help is needed.

Sun, July 17, 2005 - 2:03 AMWell this is the result of the project, my first time shooting on 16mm the fire scenes turned out good. The scale model at the begining and ending I'm still not sure about, the fire inside I thinks looks good, let me know what you think please.

Re: Filming a burning room
Tue, July 19, 2005 - 11:40 AMBeleive it or not I bought the film off E-Bay for 30 bucks for four roll of 500 speed kodak Film ( I would not recomend this, I was freaking the whole time when I opened the film canisters and there was no band around the film or no inner plastic) and the telecine and processing cost around 160 for five rolls of film. So all in all about 2 bills, of course craft cost more for the day of the shoot. I bet I spent about 500 all together not that bad I guess.. -
